BUSINESSES are being invited to book their Christmas works do with Barnsley Hospice in a bid to raise money for charity.
The hospice is organising its first ever Christmas bash on Saturday December 22 at the Holiday Inn, Dodworth.
Martyn Hughes, events fundraiser at Barnsley Hospice, said: “Lots of people like to go out with work colleagues in the run up to Christmas and by coming to our Christmas Bash they will be guaranteed a great night out, and will be raising money for charity.
“But of course we want to see anyone who would like to join us with friends or family for what will be a fun event.”
The event, which costs £16, will feature a DJ and a party band, playing hits from the last seven decades. Doors will open at 7pm, with last orders at midnight and bar meals will be available.
The award-winning four-piece band the Monotones, who have played all over the UK, will perform classics and requests.
Barnsley Hospice has to raise £2.2m a year, on top of the £1.6m it gets from the NHS.
The hospice based in Gawber provides specialist care for anyone in Barnsley with a life-limiting illness, including cancer, motor neurone disease and heart disease.
