A YOUNG girl who has been dancing since the age of three has been nominated for a Young Champions award.
Elise Anderson, 11, has been dancing with the Kim Frost School of Dance for eight years. Her dedication and passion for ballet, modern and tap has not gone unnoticed so much so her and her mum Kelly nominated Elise for a Young Champions award under the Young Sportsperson category.
Kelly, of Fitzwilliam Street, Hoyland, said: “Elise lives and breathes dance. When she is not dancing during her lessons, she’s dancing around the house or singing.
“She’s performed in pantomimes at the Sheffield Lyceum and she enters numerous competitions outside of her dance school. Last month she won first place at the UK Dance Championships in Bradford and she consistently achieves high grade distinctions in all her dance exams.
“I wanted to nominate her because she is simply amazing. She works so hard and she’s dedicated, she’s constantly pushing herself and our family are of course proud of her.”
