A DERELICT local farmhouse has been transformed into a luxury holiday home and event venue where a three-night weekend stay costs £6,500.
Spicer Manor, located on Spicer Manor Lane, Ingbirchworth, has undergone a restoration project and is now available to book for special occasions, weddings and retreats.
The manor sleeps up to 34 guests in 15 en-suites and boasts a state of the art cinema, games room and twin hot tubs.
The original Spicer Manor was owned by farmer William Burnard who retired in the 80s and died in 1989 - which meant the farm was left unoccupied for 30 years - and was later bought by Lisa Hunt 14 years ago.
“It was important to me throughout the project to work with local tradespeople who have helped with everything from dismantling and rebuilding the existing walls, to constructing the new roof, and providing many of the interior features in the house,” said Lisa.
“It’s been years in the making and we’re thrilled to now be able to welcome guests to enjoy the venue as much as we do.
“We wanted to create a bespoke and personal service to ensure guests are looked after and have the most memorable stay.”
Guests can book a minimum of a three-night stay from Friday to Monday, with prices starting at £6,500, and a four-night midweek break from Monday to Friday starting at £5,500.
