AROUND 900 people enjoyed visiting a Christmas market with a difference at the weekend.
An Etsy Made Local Christmas market took place at The Digital Media Centre and was organised by Crafty Business Barnsley.
It was part of a national scheme that saw towns and cities across the UK celebrating the makers and designers that make up the creative community selling on Etsy.com.
Steph Cronin, founder of Crafty Business Barnsley, said this has been the fourth year the event has been held and it was the biggest market yet.
“It was a fantastic day,” she said.
“I got a lot of feedback from the stall holders and everything they said was really positive and amazing. Some said they made the most money and more than they had at any other craft fair.
“They were all really happy.
“We had musicians and a choir that played during the market so it was more than just the stalls and it made it a bit different.”
