Well, are you ready? As supporters are you excited about the new season? Keith Hill says he is. He says his players are too. That's both ready and excited!
Hull City may well kick things off in the Championship by hosting Blackpool at the KC Stadium on Friday night, but all Barnsley eyes will be on the City Ground, Nottingham at 3pm on Saturday, when Hill’s Reds tackle Steve McClaren’s Forest.
If the quality of football that has been served up in pre-season is anything to go by, Barnsley could surprise quite a few people this term.
I certainly hope so.
In the Championship, there is always a dark horse that emerges on the rails. Wouldn’t it be great if this season that team was Barnsley?
My heart says that the Reds will again confound the bookies, who, unsurprisingly, have them down for a season of struggle, if not relegation. I’ve told my head to listen to my heart!
Seriously, I’d be very happy with midtable (even low midtable) and an entertaining brand of football. What do you, the fans, think will happen?
Come on you Reds!
