A BARNSLEY motorcycle manufacturer has teamed up with Richard Hammond and will appear on his TV show on Monday.
Mac Motorcycles, based in Stainborough and owned by Ian Oliver, will appear in the upcoming series of Richard Hammond’s Workshop on Discovery+.
Ian has teamed up with the motoring guru’s firm - The Smallest Cog - who will help paint his fuel tanks and complete other bodywork parts.
He’ll be appearing on Richard’s show on Monday and hoped that his motorcycles will be hitting the UK market at some point next year.
Ian told the Chronicle: “We’re a small, handmade motorcycle maker and we choose our parts very carefully.
“Almost all our parts are made here in the UK but we needed someone to team up with who has a strong brand.
“That’s why we’re working with Richard’s brand.”
But what is the former Top Gear host actually like?
“He’s just like he is on TV,” Ian added.
“He’s a really nice chap and fun to be around.
“But he’s also really knowledgeable.
“He was a bike enthusiast before he was into cars and it’s been great working with him.”
