ELLIOT Mann carried his bat with 119 not out as Wombwell Main beat fellow Barnsley club Silkstone United in a clash of South Yorkshire League Division Five’s top two.
Mann shared a stand of 225 with Tom Goldsby-West (120) in Wombwell’s 290 for two. Silkstone fell 27 runs short despite Lee White scoring 94 and William Clegg 82 adding not out. Main are eight points clear at the top while United slipped from second to fourth.
Imran Shah smashed 173 not out off 158 as Wath won at leaders Warmsworth in a Division One top of the table clash.
He hit 25 fours and a six in Wath’s 275 then Josh Burrows took three wickets to help bowl the hosts out for 174.
Wath are in the second promotion place, two points behind Warmsworth.
West Bretton bowled Conisbrough out for 92 defending 170. They were 93 for eight then number nine Cameran Brampton made 59 off 43 balls with eight fours and three sixes. Chris Reece and Alex Gough took three wickets each.
Monk Bretton’s 176 was not enough in a five-wicket home loss to Frickley.
Craig Heppenstall took three wickets.
Houghton Main fell 85 runs short chasing 307 at Parkhead.
Teriq Worrell took six wickets then Asim Javed scored 86 not out.
Penistone chased 173 for a six-wicket win at home to Sheffield Collegiate 3rd XI in Division Three. Chris Walmsley took three wickets then Charlie Armitage made 84 off 80 balls with seven sixes.
Darfield won by 168 runs at Upper Haugh 2nd XI in Division Three. Josh Care (76) and Brooklyn Whitmill (66) led Darfield to 266 then Nathan Kitchen took six wickets and Saman Khursheed three as the hosts were bowled out for 98.
Higham won by 11 runs at home to Sprotbrough 2nd XI.
Brad Gledhill (57) and George Deegan (80 not out) took Higham to 245 then Deegan took five for 17.
Worsbrough Bridge beat Rockingham 2nd XI. Richard Taylor (55) and Ryan Mann (51) led Bridge to 202.
Benjamin Shore took four wickets for Rockingham then James Armitage scored 67 in their 164.
Kexborough bowled out Sheffield University Staff for 35 in a ten-wicket Division Four win.
There were five wickets each for Thava Niganthan and Suthaharan Nadesapillai.
Curtis Coles was out for 97 as Green Moor fell eight runs short chasing 210 at home to Fishlake in Division Six. Manoj Jayasekara took four wickets and Satvir Singh three before he scored 53.
There were two century-makers as Dearne won by 126 runs at home to Sprotbrough 4th XI in Division Nine North. Ben Whitehouse retired after making 107 off 79 balls including 14 four and three sixes and Fred Baker cleared the ropes five times in his 102. Dearne made 276 then restricted the visitors to 150.
