GREEN Party leader Zack Polanski is set to come to the town in the new year.
Polanski, who was made leader of the party on September 2, has since made waves in the political sphere with the Greens’ popularity rising in recent months.
He will arrive at Emmanuel Methodist Church on January 17 and tickets to the event can be found online.
A spokesperson said: “Hear from the leader who is re-making the UK political landscape and getting the Green message across like never before.
“Hear about our local campaign and how you can help get Greens elected in Barnsley.
“Have your say on local issues.
“Everyone is welcome to this accessible venue.
“There will be some facilities for children under supervision from parents/guardians.”
