BARNSLEY-born doctor Selina Wray has been shortlisted in the search to find the ten most outstanding young people in the world.
Dr Wray, who works at University College London, was nominated by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Barnsley in the medical innovation category, for her work towards carrying out groundbreaking research to develop treatments for dementia together with supporting local/ national dementia charities such as BIADS.
She has already been honoured by being one of the ten most outstanding young people (aged under 40) in the UK in 2016 in the national competition
Selina, who grew up on St George’s Road in Barnsley, and went to Barnsley College, is now in the top 20, that have been chosen out of 209 entrants from around the world.
