Carer Lynn Stewart will undergo one of the kindest cuts of all.
Lynn, 51, of Ings Road, Wombwell will have her head shaved to raise money to pay for trips out for residents of Valley Park nursing home, Park Street where she works.
Ann Joinsey, who is hairdreseer at another Valley Park nursing home in Wath-upon-Dearne, will carry out the shaving which is being billed as a highlight of a fund-raising evening at the Low Valley Arms, Station Road.
Organiser Sue Riddiford, Lynn's sister, said: "We were casting around for things to do on the evening and Lynn volunteered to have her head shaved."
