WITH her long legs, pretty face and piercing eyes teenager Lucy Picker looks like she has what it takes to be a model.

The judges of a national modelling competition certainly think so and have selected Lucy, 15, for the semi-final of the Teen Queen contest.

Kingstone pupil Lucy, of Crown Close, Worsbrough Common, was spotted at the Clothes Show Live and was among 5,000 girls who entered the competition.

She was selected to go to a professional photoshoot in London and the judges have now put her through to the semi-final - and the public vote.

Lucy, who is 5ft 10ins, has always dreamt of being a model and said: "I got stopped at the Clothes Show and did not think it would go any further, I was right happy when I went through.

"Going to London was an amazing experience and now I want to go as far as I can because I have always wanted to do modelling."

Proud dad David said Lucy loved posing for photographs. "We're really proud of her. She puts her phone on timer and does a pose and she's the same with her webcam and sits there taking photos of herself."

And if her dream is to come true she needs the people of Barnsley to get behind her and vote her into the final. Lucy is one of 50 girls on the Teen Queen UK website this month vying for a final spot.
