A SUCCESSFUL kids' football club in Cudworth is facing closure because of fears over charges imposed by Barnsley Premier Leisure.
The chairman of Dorothy Hyman West End Junior FC, which has almost 150 children on the books, says it may not be able to pay the new charges for pitch hire and training.
Gary Midgley claims BPL is planning to increase the cost of pitch hire from £300 to £450 per team per season. He said: "They are trying to price us out of playing at Dorothy Hyman and they want to charge us for the off-season."
