BARNSLEY hospital has been criticised by a patient group after it was named one of the stingiest in the country for spending on food.
The hospital admitted dishing out just £2.25 per patient per day in figures sent to the NHS Information Centre, making it the second lowest in the country and less than a tenth of some other trusts.
