RUSH hour tail backs were caused when a crane crashed into a brick wall at Hickleton yesterday morning.

The Terex engineering crane was travelling on the A635 towards Barnsley when it went around a bend and crashed into the wall just before 7.45am.

No-one was hurt but debris was scattered across the road and there were half mile tailbacks in both directions.

Police say there may have been a fault on the machine and an engineer travelled from Oxford to investigate.
