New mum Mandy Davies cuddles latest arrival Layla Hope - who was born a year after Mandy had an operation to stop her getting pregnant.
Assistant care manager Mandy, 42, was sterilised in June last year. She and husband David, 52, made the decision because of her age and for financial reasons.
So, when she started feeling sick and had tummy ache around Christmas time she thought it was a heavy period. When nothing happened she did a test to 'rule' out pregnancy. It was positive.
