Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that left a man dead in the road.
It is believed the 56-year-old had been lying in the carriageway on Co-Operative Street, Goldthorpe, when a vehicle drove over him.
Officers say the unknown vehicle drove off along Co-Operative Street, turning right into Doncaster Road.
The force has not yet named the victim. It is understood he was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary but could not be saved.
