MORE than £2,800 has been raised for Barnsley Hospice as part of an electric test drive event held in May.
As part of the hospice’s partnership with TrustFord Barnsley, 95 people got behind the wheel to enjoy a free test-drive in a new electric Ford vehicle at the special one-day event at Barnsley Hospice.
With TrustFord donating £30 to the hospice for every unique test-drive undertaken, an incredible £2,850 was raised for the hospice.
Barnsley Hospice’s corporate partnership manager Simon Atkinson said: “This is really a wonderful amount raised from what was a fantastic and successful day.
“We were very humbled that so many wonderful people of Barnsley showed up in their numbers to enjoy a test-drive in some wonderful new electric vehicles and support the hospice.
“We’re really grateful for this partnership with TrustFord and can’t thank them enough for setting up this initiative, which helped to raise this brilliant amount of money.
“Thank you to everyone for their support, as the it’s the public who help us be there for people that need us most.”
