FOUR people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was found seriously injured in Grimethorpe with a suspected stab wound.
Officers were called at 11.49pm on Monday by a concerned member of the public after they found a woman in her 30s lying unresponsive in St Luke's Road in Grimethorpe with a suspected stab wound.
Two men, aged 20 and 28, and two women, aged 28 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at around 12.30am on Tuesday morning.
They all remain in police custody at this time.
A police spokesperson said: "The injured woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
"We are not looking for anyone else in connection with our ongoing investigation.
"St Luke's Road remains closed, near the junction with High Street and Queensway, with officers also present in Carlton Street in Grimethorpe carrying out further enquiries.
