TOM BRADSHAW could return to the bench for Barnsley's final game of the season against Stockport on Saturday following his midweek injury while Marc Roberts and Charlie Lennon will be in the squad, says Conor Hourihane.
Midfielder Adam Phillips had been struggling with an ankle problem he picked up at Luton on Saturday but is expected to play against Stockport.
Striker Bradshaw came off at half-time at Northampton in midweek with an Achilles issue.
Hourihane said: “Bradders will be one that we'll have to assess over the next couple of days. Nothing major, no scan needed or anything like that. But will he be fit enough to make the bench? Realistically that is probably his best scenario.”
Roberts, the veteran centre-back whose contract expires in the summer, is due to play some role in the game.
Hourihane said: “I think Robbo will be back involved. I want to try and get him on the pitch at some stage.
“His contract's obviously up. He's got a real connection with the club and a real connection with myself as well obviously being a former team-mate. So getting him on the pitch for the final day of the season, I think is important and something that I want to give to him as well.”
Winger Lennon has made just two substitute appearances, in March, since signing in January.
“Charlie would be on the bench and involved at the weekend, so whether he gets on the pitch or not, time will tell. I felt like this weekend would be a good game for Charlie to be in and around it.”
Vimal Yoganathan is banned for the final game having been suspended for four matches because his red card against Bradford was his second dismissal of the season.
