A WIDOWED pensioner who fled Barnsley after a terrifying raid on his home by masked men four months ago has finally returned home - and is back to his old self.
Harvey Clemit was robbed of his life savings when the men burst into his Kendray home, squirted liquid in his eyes, threatened him and made off with £1,100 in cash.
It happened just weeks after the death of his wife Molly, and Harvey said he was a 'broken man' after the attack.
He moved to Bournemouth with his daughter Anne Greenham and husband Colin.
He said he was 'incredibly grateful' for the outpouring of support after his story was on the front page of the Chronicle in May. A fund-raising campaign meant he got all his money back - and more.
Harvey served his country as a 'two stripe' Bombardier in the Royal Artillery, and says he had 'about 23 jobs' in a long working life.
