A PENISTONE woman claims she had a breakdown after she was left without a doctor and without medication for her depression.

Barnsley Primary Care Trust has now apologised to Gill Flynn and admitted an error was made.

And chief executive Ailsa Claire has confirmed, in a letter, that there were 'weaknesses' in the PCT's processes.

Mrs Flynn, of Mortimer Road, was registered with Apollo Court medical centre in Dodworth but was taken off the list in August amid allegations she was offensive, made derogatory remarks and staff had concern in relation to their own safety.

Drs RP Singh and B Aboobakar wrote to Mrs Flynn in July telling her that the practice had requested she be re-allocated to a surgery in Penistone.

But when she could not register with a doctor in Penistone she says she was left without care.
