POORLY little Mikka Walmsley was given a boost when she she was visited in hospital by Barnsley FC players.
Mikka, seven, was admitted last Wednesday after an asthma attack. She is still in hospital but mum Rachel is hoping she will be able to return home today for Christmas.
Mikka suffered a stroke when she was three which left her paralysed.
First team players including Peter Ramage, James Bailey, Sam Winnall, Conor Hourihane, Ross Turnbull, Luke Berry, Devante Cole and Dale Jennings were led by club captain Martin Cranie as they toured the children's ward.
The gifts were bought with money from a collection organised by Martin Cranie.
