VICIOUS internet trolls branded author Milly Johnson a 'vile rich b*tch' for saying obese people and addicts on benefits who refuse treatment should have them stopped.

The romantic novelist found herself at the centre of an abusive backlash from trolls on Twitter following her appearance on BBC Breakfast's newspaper review on Valentine's Day.

It sparked a torrent of online abuse and the 50-year-old took a verbal battering with people calling calling her thick, fat and vile.

Milly, who lives off Dodworth Road, said: "Social media makes it very easy for these nasty people. They hear what they want to hear and not what you actually say. I am entitled to an opinion – fat arse or not."
