THE former Santander bank in Hoyland town centre could be turned into a fish and chip restaurant and takeaway.
Plans have gone into Barnsley Council asking for permission to change the use of the building. The application has been made by Salman Erguc and relates to the former Santander branch in King Street which has been empty for some time.
Before a decision is made on whether to allow change of use, the council's environmental health and pollution control department will be consulted, along with highways officials and local councillors.
