KEXBOROUGH Primary School has been celebrating its excellent Ofsted report.

Headteacher Moira Barker is thrilled with the report after the school scored highly in nearly all aspects of the inspection.

She said: “We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection. The report is a wonderful testament to the high quality of the staff team and governors, and the hard work and enthusiasm of our pupils.

“We have always thought of our school as a very special place and to have it confirmed as outstanding by Ofsted makes us very proud indeed.”

Year 6 pupils Jessica Senior and Dominic Booth told the Chronicle that a letter from the inspector to all pupils praised them for how well they all got on together and shared their successes.

“She said we worked hard and produced lovely writing and art. We are really proud of our achievement.” Chair of governors Geoff Lord added: “I am delighted that the hard work of all the staff in improving education for the Kexborough community has been recognised in this Ofsted inspection.

“This achievement also reflects well on the children themselves and on parents who give their free time to help the school. We, as governors, are committed to continuing to provide excellent education for the children of this community.”
