THE devastated parents of a teenager whose death was linked to legal highs believe the toxic drugs are ‘destroying a generation’.
Callum Brankin’s young life was cut short when he died last September.
He was found dead at The Forge, a complex at Smithies for young homeless people.
An inquest last week was told the 19-year-old died from a toxic combination of alcohol, methadone and diazepam. A synthetic cannabinoid was found also found in his system, commonly associated with so-called ‘legal highs’.
Callum’s heartbroken parents, mum Toni White and stepdad Paul Brankin, have bravely spoken out about the destructive impact legal highs had on his young life.
