IT’S a long way from Longcar to America and even further to Australia.
But that won’t stop former school mates crossing the world to attend a reunion.
The Longcar former pupils reunion takes place at Tankersley Manor Hotel at 12.15pm for 1pm on August 25,
And organiser John Bird says the event has received excellent support with people coming from all over the UK and abroad.
He said: “Dr Peter Hadwen is coming over from Australia and Tony Pegg from America specially for the occasion, such is the affection that Longcar engendered in its pupils, many of which have remained friends throughout their lives.
“If you are a former pupil who was at Longcar between 1947 and 1956 you are invited to the reunion.”
