Luke Cutts missed out on the pole vault final at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The 28-year-old from Thurnscoe needed to clear 5.75m or finish in the top 12 to reach the final in the early hours of Tuesday.

He cleared his first effort at 5.3m, then took two attempts at 5.45m before three failures at 5.6m, 23 centimetres off his national record.
