MORE needs to be done to clamp down on illegal off-road bikers, according to a councillor.
Coun Joe Hayward told Wednesday afternoon’s Community Engagement Meeting at Cudworth Fire Station that reports have flooded in about incidents across the north-east district throughout the summer holidays.
Identified areas include Snydale Road, Weetshaw Lane, Shaw Lane and Crown Avenue in Cudworth, although parks have also become hotspots, according to Coun Hayward.
“We’re not saying it’s just happening in Cudworth - this is very much a Barnsley-wide issue. Locally we all know how much of a problem this is.”
