A STUDENT has hopes of pursuing a career in performing arts following a string of achievements which include being chosen for a role in a successful musical.
Darcie Brown, 16, of Harvey Street, Barnsley was chosen to star in What I Go To School For - The Busted Musical earlier this month after her older sister Sophie Brown, 24, paid for an audition as a surprise Christmas present.
Darcie agreed to attend the audition as she thought it would be fun to see where it went and was cast for a role in the show, which was staged in Brighton.
