IT takes a brave man to attempt to ride a bike from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

More guts still if the man in question hasn’t really ridden a bike since he was a boy.

And even braver than that if he committed to the ride just weeks after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

That’s exactly what has happened in the case of Barnsley man Jonathan Booth.

The 36-year-old from Robert Avenue, Monk Bretton, plans to ride the near 1,000 mile distance in 15 days to raise money for the Weston Park Cancer Charity.
