THE results of a three-month operation to improve a Royston antisocial behaviour hotspot will be revealed next month.
Milgate Street has been a priority for the Barnsley East Local Policing Team (LPT) throughout the summer and representatives from Barnsley Council and South Yorkshire Police will discuss the next steps for tackling its long-running issues at the Community Engagement Meeting (CEM) at Outwood Academy in Carlton on November 8.
The street, off Midland Road, has been targeted by Jeanette Millward, the enforcement officer who has been employed to improve the state of housing by the North East Area Council, as well as receiving regular patrols for PCSOs in a bid to reduce crime figures.
One resident, who did not wish to be named, contacted the Chronicle to say improvements have been noticed.
