A TEENAGER from Barnsley is set to start a big summer of international competitions by representing Great Britain at the European Junior Championships next week.
Gabrielle Idle-Beavers is in the GB squad for the event in Munich, Germany which begins on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old, who specialises in breaststroke, won two medals at the British Championships in April.
She has also been selected for the England team at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this month.
Gabrielle is originally from Darton and began swimming at Borough of Barnsley Swimming Club.
She now attends Mount Kelly College in Devon and has been signed to compete and study at the University of Kentucky.
