FURTHER calls for traffic lights to be installed at an accident blackspot between Notton and Royston have been made after another serious crash.
The two-car collision at Notton Lane, on its notorious crossroads with Bleakley Lane, left one person with serious injuries on Monday and the accident is the second in as many months.
A spokesman from West Yorkshire Police said the incident - which involved a Honda Jazz and a Mercedes van - forced a two-hour road closure to be implemented.
Long-time campaigner Steve Selby told the Chronicle he fears it is just a matter of time before a fatality occurs and urged Wakefield Council to step in before it’s too late.
