Katherine Brunt says she feels like she is learning more now than she has done at any other point in her career.
The Dodworth fast bowler, 31, is now home from the West Indies where she took ten wickets throughout the series as England claimed a thrilling 3-2 win in the final game in Jamaica.
The haul helped her pass 200 in England colours, and she was pleased to pass that particular milestone.
She reflected on a difficult but successful tour on the islands recently hit by Hurricane Matthew. "I think it was probably up there in the top four tours of my career," she told the Chronicle.
"I am really enjoying working under Mark Robinson.
"I feel like I am learning more now than ever. I've always said I'll look to retire if I wasn't playing at my best or learning but I am doing that.
"In what I was up against with the hot and humid conditions, it made my job very difficult.
"It tested me a lot because it's very hard to run in and bowl fast in those conditions. It's hard to hold your skills until the end.
"I was happy with how the series went but I felt a lot of dody decisions went against us."
