A BARNSLEY woman who suffered a major stroke when she was just 18 is celebrating 25 years as a survivor by running the London Marathon.
Pam Kirk was working at a sewing factory in Thurnscoe when she suddenly felt dizzy and lost feeling on one side of her body.
She was rushed to Mexborough Hospital where she spent four weeks.
Now Pam, who has made a good recovery, will run the 26.2 mile route to raise money for the Stroke Association.
