ALTON Towers crash victims Leah Washington and Joe Pugh featured in a documentary on Channel 5 on Wednesday night.
Where There's Blame There's A Claim follows claimants on their journeys as they pursue pay-outs for freak accidents and preventable calamities, ranging from theme park disasters, to flaming tumble dryers, botched plastic surgery and potholes in the road, and also lifts the lid on dodgy claimers getting in on the act.
In the first episode on Wednesday, Leah and Joe spoke about how their lives were turned upside down when the 'Smiler' ride they were on crashed into an empty carriage, leaving Leah and Joe with devastating life changing injuries.
The programme followed the pair as they adapt to Leah's life as an amputee, and her journey as she seeks compensation for her injuries. It also examined the effects the accident has had on the couple and their families.
