EXTERMINATE! Doctor Who fan Raymond Hyde is ready to take over the world - as long as he doesn’t have to climb any stairs.
Raymond, 58, of West End Crescent, Royston spent 18 months building his life-size model Dalek, which he has named Dale, using wood, fibreglass and aluminium.
Dale includes a sound modulator made from a guitar pedal so Raymond can sit inside and replicate the famous menacing alien voice.
The arm is a sink plunger, for which Raymond paid about £3 in Wilkinsons, but he has just bought an authentic 1960s plunger to replace it.
