THIS Hoyland youngster swept up at the Hoyland Town FC under eights’ annual awards, despite it being his first season playing football.
Denham Saxton, eight, of Hillside Drive, scooped player of the year, manager’s player of the year and players’ player of the year after scoring 36 goals. He said: “It’s great. I expected to win, because everybody kept saying I was the best player on the park.”
