FORGET little donkey this Christmas - Cannon Hall farm has its own little llama.

The cutie was born on Wednesday and farmer David Nicholson hopes it will be a star attraction over the festive holidays.

It is the first baby llama, known as a cria, to be born at the farm for about two years.

David said: "One of the males wasn't doing its job properly so we brought a new one in."

And after an 11 to 12-month pregnancy the new arrival came.

He said the winter would not be a problem because llamas are used to extremes of temperature.

The farm's herd of goats has also given birth to a dozen kids this week.
