SVEN-Goran Eriksson was left red in the face after a spelling blunder by a Barnsley seamstress.
The Manchester City manager became an object of fun for post-match pundits on TV when he was seen sporting a coat bearing his wrongly spelled name.
The badge, which spelled his surname “Erickson”, was sewn on by fabric technician Vikki Skipper, 51, of Dodworth Road.
Vikki, who works for a clothing company in Huddersfield, said she knows nothing about football and looked up the former England coach’s name on the internet.
She found his name spelled several ways and picked the wrong one.
Her boss spotted the error and asked her to make another, which she did, but both coats were given to Sven anyway.
Vikki said the zip broke on the corrected coat, leaving him to wear the one with the error on match day. She said: “I don't do football at all. I got a lot of ribbing at work.”
