THIEVES are stealing power tools and copper piping from works vans.

Police say there have been several break-ins and urged owners to mark their tools.

Officers said copper piping had also been taken from plumbers who leave the pipes in tubes on the tops of vans.

And there has been a wave of delivery vehicles being stolen while workers drop off goods.
