VISITORS can go back in time this weekend for a 1940s weekend at the Elsecar Heritage Centre.
The heritage railway will stage battle re-enactments and demonstrate equipment while wartime music is played by Paul Harper.
This is the fourth year of the wartime weekend and organiser Paul Bavill said it keeps getting bigger and better.
"We have one of the best battles in the north of England, a hidden gem of a setting and attractions both indoors and outdoors. It's an explosive day out for the whole family to enjoy.”
There will be a blitz ball on the evening with the Ockbrook big band performing jazz and swing and pie and pea supper.
Doors open 11am.
