'MR Bunny Rabbit's' droppings have caused a dust up between his owner and binmen.
The workers refused to collect the family's green waste recycle bin because it was 'contaminated with animal bedding'.
David Clarke, of Airedale Road in Kexborough, came home from work on Thursday last week to find an amber sticker on his bin stating 'Danger - Animal Bedding'.
When he rang the council he was told the straw used by son's rabbit, called Mr Bunny Rabbit, was 'contaminated' and the bin could not be collected until it had been removed.
David said: "They said the shovel full of straw from the rabbit's bed is contaminated but a rabbit will not do its business in its bed so i can't understand why they class it as contaminated - with what exactly?
"For the last seven years I've disposed of it this way so why has the council suddenly changed its tune?"
Nobody from the council was available for comment.
