A MARRIED man who kept a secret mistress for five years killed himself because he could no longer live with the shame of his lies, an inquest was told.
Craig Morgan, 38, died of burns after setting his car alight on Carr Lane, Gunthwaite, on September 9 last year.
The inquest was told Mr Morgan, of Ashfield Close, Penistone, who has a nine-year-old son, had been having an affair with work colleague Kay Blower since 2003, which his wife Sarah found out about on the day he died.
Verdict: took his own life.
