A FASHION show was staged to launch Gateway Plaza last night where a national health service walk-in centre will open next week.
The centre is the first occupant of the office, flats and hotel block, off Shambles Street, which has cost £70m.
Mayor Coun John Parkinson said: "This is a very exciting time for the town. Barnsley has been right to press ahead with regeneration. Developers obviously share our enthusiasm for the future of Barnsley."
