A NEW church bell will be installed in Cudworth church as a memorial to man who died in a car crash.
Sheila Stewart, 52, of Crosby Street, is buying the bell in memory of her son Michael, 22, who died in Brierley in 2007.
She said: "I wanted a memorial to my boy, he was such a wonderful child. All his friends had been donating and helping out."
Mikey, as he was known, was buried under a tree in the church grounds and a memorial bench was erected. Sheila says when people sit on the bench and look up they will be able to see the bell.
The inscription on it reads 'Michael A Stewart. Behold my beloved son in whom I am well-pleased. Ring forever'.
