A STYLIST proved to be a cut above the rest when she won a place on a top hairdressing course.
Jodie Palmer gave thousands of applicants the brush off to become part of the Toni and Guy Breakthrough Team, 2010.
The 21-year-old from Devonshire Drive, Wilthorpe, said she could not believe she had been chosen for the scholarship.
"I was shocked when I found out as there were only ten places," she said.
"I was once told it would be difficult for someone like me to make it big being from Barnsley so this is even more special.
"Everyone is really pleased for me, my colleagues have always been very supportive."
Jodie, who has worked as a stylist for three years, is waiting to find out when her monthly master class starts.
She will attend creative workshops and be taught by top stylists Cos Sakkas and Efi Davies.
The course includes working at events including London Fashion Week and TV shows such as Britain's Next Top Model.
