HEALTH staff in Barnsley are being encouraged to get a flu jab to protect themselves and patients against the illness.
Barnsley Hospital occupational health manager Sally Bladen said all staff who come into contact with patients should have the vaccine.
“If you can’t catch flu then you can’t pass it on,†she said.
“By making sure you get vaccinated you will be giving yourself the best chance of staying healthy throughout the flu season as well as protecting your family and patients.â€
Arrangements are being made within each organisation for staff to be vaccinated.
