CHAMPION veg grower Barry Micklethwaite says the snow and ice has played havoc with his preparation for next year - but it has given him his best ever sprouts.
Barry, of Coronation Crescent, Birdwell, said: "II can't even get down the garden. I'm a month behind now. I should have my soil sterilised and my poly tunnels ready for next year. But I can't even get in them.
"But on the plus side, I've got the best sprouts I've ever had."
